LET'S PRACTICE SOME SKILLS!
DIRT offers a variety of employment-based workshops for neurodivergent individuals looking to further their foundational work skills in an inclusive learning space. For each workshop we utilize a peer-to-peer learning style, along with tactile learning activities and hands-on practice.
Below are the workshops that we will be offering in 2023:
Workplace Expectations
This workshop includes: discussion on time management, hygiene, dress code, reliability, etc.
Healthy Boundaries in the Workplace
This workshop includes: discussion about physical space, self-advocacy, types of professional relationships, etc.
Professional Communication
This workshop includes: interviewing skills, interpersonal communication, identifying body language, etc.
Budgeting & Finance
This workshop includes: creating a budget, identifying wants vs needs, budgeting terminology, etc.
Creating a Work/Life Balance
This workshop includes: discussion on self-care, how to build a consistent routine, creating a healthy work/life balance, etc.
Self-Advocacy
This workshop includes: how to request necessary accommodations, initiating conversations with supervisors, understanding your rights, etc.

Please note this program partners with Colorado's Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) and Medicaid Waivers. DIRT is happy to help program participants apply for funding. If you have any questions regarding funding, please let us know.
